The general principle
If nothing has been spent, nothing is charged. If a driver has already left for a distant pickup, or a vehicle has been blocked for a multi-day trip and turned other work away, there is a real cost and a reasonable charge applies. We tell you what it is at the time rather than deducting it silently from an advance.
Local versus outstation
Local city bookings are the most flexible — cancel before the driver sets off and there is normally no charge at all. Outstation and multi-day bookings carry more notice, because the vehicle has been committed to you and other bookings have been declined. Wedding and event bookings, where the fleet is blocked across several days, are the least flexible.
Changes rather than cancellations
Where possible, tell us what changed rather than cancelling outright. A date shift, a different vehicle, an extra stop, a delayed start — all of these are usually easier to accommodate than a cancellation and rebooking, and rarely attract a charge.
