Which vehicles work best
An Ertiga or Innova gives you more room to fit and access a child seat than a sedan, and the higher door opening makes lifting a child in and out easier. On outstation routes the rear AC vents in an Innova Crysta matter more with young children than most people anticipate.
Travelling with infants
Plan more stops than you would otherwise. Tell the driver at the start so he is not surprised by requests to pull over — a briefed driver plans for it and an unbriefed one does not. On long routes, breaking a six-hour drive into two days is worth considering with a baby.
